Stock photo earnings October 2009
I had a little delay with this report cause i was at Baltic Sea You can see on this photo.
Nice trip but weather was slight ugly, fog, clouds, rain, wind… not my kind to shoot, especially i wanted more to see the sights at first.

Anyways, October 2009 was the eight month of my microstock activities (previous: September earnings) and most important things are: more uploaded images and return to concept illustrations.
Stock photo earnings September 2009
September 2009 – the seventh month of my microstock activities (previous: August earnings).
It was a second month without submitting any images. Just last 3 days i’ve added some photos thus these don’t count at all. I’ve changed slight the chart for proper display (corrected the total agencies count (factor from 5 to 7) throughout the whole period).

with averaged progress line (September)
Stock photos earnings in August 2009
August – the sixth month of my microstock activities (previous July). Almost no uploads this month (maybe one).

Similar images – how to upload and how much is too much
But i have my own vision as always and already replied there.
See my previous post about DT refusals, ZERO download files and reviewers inerrancy.
Biggest medieval battle reconstruction – Grunwald 1410
That event was second i’ve had pleasure to watch in July. About 1400 knights, 100 thousands viewers in 599th anniversary. July 18, 2009 in Grunwald, Poland. And they was fighting for real – no pretending, of course not to the death;) (Videos below and microstock photos here)
Quick edit of the July 2009 -Grunwald 1410- reenactment real battlefield panorama
I was using Canon 40D and Canon 500D at this show and what i can say – 500D performed well and i had no issues with any excessive noise as some pople was stating. Great, light camera, good for women’s hands also.
Once upon a time at Dreamstime – rejections
This isn’t a ‘whining’ post but situation seems to be happening fairly frequently, thus maybe You’ll find it useful.

“Hi there, maybe anyone can give me some info about that issue faster than the support staff.
My question is where i can find some information about the single SERIE rules.
I’ve just got rejected about 8/11 shots from big Battle of Grunwald event.
Accepted 3 and not the best of whole 11.
Completely different photos and carefully SELECTED out of about 2000 taken shots.
There was about 100 thousands of people, about 1400 actors and the whole thing wasn’t some tiny 5 minutes show.
People submit single object multiple times so how the… my batch could be a problem.
Got this funny message:
Twitter under attack ugh…
Looks Twitter is back online.

Denial of Service Attack
Stock photos earnings in July 2009
July – the fifth month of my microstock activities (previous June).
The Progress line is down cause i’ve added this month BigStockPhoto and 123RF which forced me to divide the average by 6 not by 4. Real progress in compare to previous months – without these two added sites is about +3.5%.
I just wanted math to be correct, next months progress will be shown properly.
+3.5% when many microstockers say that You won’t sell much during Vacation. I think there is no need to listen them. Also no need to avoid submitting flowers, pets… and many other unproven myths. I’ll write about that another article.
Old paper background still goes up
Last time 09.March.2009 i’ve posted info about this very popular file. In about one month it had 5284 downloads at my sxc.hu gallery. Now the number is 11514, after next five months, so things slowing down but anyways it is pretty good result i think.
Unfortunately sxc.hu is now slower a lot after it was owned by Getty Images. Strange isn’t it? Thus many people complain, remove their galleries also there is a lot less of downloads :/ Though.
Now just have to wait and see what is gonna happened. For now i’m not deleting anything cause i’m here and there.
That second image submitted at the same time was downloaded about 4743 times.
Also i’ve started to build my Vintage style materials and background collection at Dreamstime.
For now it is just a small collection cause i do a lot of various works and also approval process is sometimes very picky there.
In time i’ll add there other contributors textures also, now i’ve used just mine works.

Particular images of these available also at my other stock portfolios.
Unforgettable view – tall ships race
This year i’ve got an opportunity to watch over a hundred of vessels at once in at the Tall Ship Races 2009 ( @Shutterstock ) event. ‘With me’ there was about 2.5 million of visitors watching (summed up during four days).

1. Submit own Photos, graphics or video footage to Shutterstock

Join Fotolia as first (update: no! it has changed, now i recommend Dreamstime) what let's You see if Your images are acceptable by moderators and customers, You can then try to join other stocks. It's a good site for training and for me takes 2nd (update: 3 place) place with earnings.Check out as an example most needed images(old version) at FT.
Read my first month at photo stock report to compare.
If You really want to earn then create account at each site to check where Your images sell best. One site sleeps - second or next sales and with just one site You can get bored. It's just like four fishing-rods instead of one.
There is just one problem - You'll have to work systematically, observe, learn, analyse and CREATE what others can't:)
